Case of a female shot while sleeping in her home in Tarboro, NC in 2021 still unsolved

SEEKING JUSTICE FOR JAQUATER STATON SHERWOOD AVE TARBORO, NC KILLED WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING IN HER HOME

On July 1st, 2021 around 1am, 32-year-old Jaquater Staton was killed while she was sleeping in her apartment following a shooting that happened in the parking lot of the apartment complex on the 2200 block of Sherwood Ave in Tarboro.

The female was an innocent victim who was sleeping in her bed while unknown suspects were firing shots at each other in the parking lot of the apartment complex . One of the bullets came through the bedroom and struck her as she was sleeping.

The female and her family were packed up and ready to go to the beach around 6am.

Team Cold Case is offering a reward up to $15,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s) in this murder.
