Case of a man found murdered in a field in 2018 in Edgecombe County still unsolved

Dalvin Detron Redmond 30 years old at the time was found in a field on Ellis Rd near Conetoe in Edgecombe County not too far from his residence after a farmer stumbled upon his body on 10/25/2018.

Redmond was shot twice, once in the abdomen and once in the thigh area.

Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office had asked at the time if anyone had seen Redmond days before his body was found. It is unknown how long he may have been there. Toxicology reports stated that he had a small amount of alcohol in his system. This information may be of importance to help find out what lead to his murder.

Nearly a year after Dalvin Redmond was found his brother Dekotah Redmond was murdered in Princeville. Melvin Jones Jr. was arrested and charged with Dekotah's murder.
