CASE OF A TEEN WHO WAS SHOT AND KILLED WHILE DRIVING IN 2011 STILL UNSOLVED - ROCKY MOUNT

REWARD UP TO $15,000 OFFERED FOR INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF THE SUSPECT(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS CRIME

On April 13th 2011 SHAKEEM DEVONTE AVENT, 18 was driving a burgundy Cadillac down Lee St around 7:41pm when he was shot while approaching Sunset Ave.

Once he was shot his vehicle hit a BMW and then hit a 2' high brick wall.

When RMPD arrived on scene multiple individuals were trying to help Shakeem.

The officer pulled him out of the car and started trying to revive him . The attempts to revive were unsuccessful.

The medical examiner determined that Shakeem died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

His case is still unsolved.
