Man killed in 2006 while walking out of a Rocky Mount store still unsolved

DEXTER XAVIER JOHNSON "NOOT" was 33 years old at the time. He was coming out Grand Food Market located at 422 E. Grand Ave in Rocky Mount at 11:54pm on November 12th 2006.

Once coming out of the store he was shot 5 times by an unknown suspect.

He was shot once in the stomach, three times in the back and once in the lower arm.

EMS and Nash Health Care continued life saving measures but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced at 124AM on November 13th, 2006.
