SEEKING JUSTICE FOR JAMES EARL HARPER WHO WAS SHOT AND KILLED ON 9/6/2017 ON ARRINGTON ST IN ROCKY MOUNT, NC

Around 2:15am on September 6th, 2017 RMPD was called after a passerby saw a man laying on the ground near a mailbox on the 500 block of Arrington St. in Rocky Mount, NC.

Upon arrival RMPD found JAMES EARL HARPER 65, laying near the mailbox and suffering from gunshot wounds. Mr. Harper had died of his injuries.

It was determined that Mr. Harper was walking to a 24 hour store near his home on Boone St.

His wallet was missing and he had no money on him.

There were two different caliber shell casings found indicating more than one suspect,
